This California Compliant Mag Lock for AR-9 & AR-45 converts the AR-9 & AR-45 detachable mag system into a system that requires the user to slightly pivot the upper receiver open to release the magazine. The magazine lock can be used on Moriarti's AR-9 & AR-45 Lower Receivers after removing the stock magazine catch.  This lock will work with ALL uppers because of its adjustable design.  

This lock is only compatible with standard billet AR-9 and AR-45 lowers, such as Moriarti Armaments, and will not work with last round bolt hold open lowers.

When not in California, you can easily remove the upper set screw and have normal function of the magazine release with just the use of the provided Allen key. Manufactured from billet aluminum and features a black anodized finish.  You can reuse the stock magazine catch spring and magazine catch threaded pin.

• Simple install — Use your existing mag spring and threaded pin to install this catch.  Adjust the small top screw on the vertical brace to sit flush against your upper receiver when its closed.
