Both 5.56x45mm NATO and .223 Remington are accepted. It's based on 24" barrel, which is quite long, giving increased precision at the expense of maneuverability. Black Nitride indicates the type of finish on the assembly. Nitriding is a heat treating process that diffuses nitrogen into the surface of the metal, creating a case-hardened surface for improved durability and corrosion resistance. It comes with Bull Barrel - a type of gun barrel that does not taper down in diameter (getting thinner towards the end), like conventional barrels, which can help increase accuracy. Assembly is finished off with 15" MLOK handguard (protective cover around the barrel) - a type of rail interface system that allows for the direct attachment of accessories. Barrel - 24" 4150 CMV bull barrel, phosphate. Hardened to 26-32 rc and stress relieved. Chambered in .223 Wylde (advantage of shooting either .223 Rem or 5.56 NATO cartridge). 1-8 rh twist. Target crowned - not threaded. M4 feedramps.
A3 flat top upper receiver - made from certified 7075-T6 aluminum forgings. Black hardcoat anodized and teflon coated to gov. specs. Forward assist and dust cover installed. M4 feedramps.
Gas system - .936 low profile gas block made from steel for maximum strength. Rifle length gas system.
Handguards - 15" rifle length free floating slim mlok. Made from aircraft quality aluminum and black hardcoat anodized.
This upper is custom made to order. Does not come with BCG or Charging Handle. Maybe purchased separately.
