The New 6MM ARC for hunting? Absolutely!
6MM ARC is one seriously impressive round from Hornady. The 6 mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge (6×38mm), or 6mm ARC for short, is a 6mm (.243) caliber full-power rifle cartridge introduced by Hornady in 2020, as a low-recoil, high-accuracy long range cartridge designed for the AR-15 platform rifles

Why is 6MM ARC so awesome?
6 ARC is already a replacement for the 7.62 NATO for combat operations. How does it stack against 6.5 Grendel?

Basing the 6 ARC on the Grendel case means that the accuracy potential could harness the benefits of the 6mm projectiles, but it also allows the use of readily available AR-15 bolts and magazines. Using the Grendel case as a basis for the 6 ARC’s design means that there wouldn’t be feeding, extraction or ejection issues as there typically are when trying to get a new cartridge to run reliably in an AR-15 platform.

What Bolt does a 6mm ARC use?
6mm ARC utilizes the same AR-15 bolt as the 6.5mm Grendel. These are readily available and of known quality.

Can you hunt deer with 6mm ARC?
6mm ARC is becoming absolute favorite AR-15 platform has for deer, hog, coyote and prairie dog hunting . Precision is the main key. Can't really miss your target and possibility of wounding the animal is kept at the minimum, unlike your standard 5.56 round.

If you already or plan to get really serious about shooting anything at extreme distance, the 6 mm ARC is clearly the better option! Check out Moriarti's collection of 6MM rifles, 6MM upper assemblies and more.
