This is a true 6.5 Grendel Type 2 competition upper assembly with fluted barrel. All you need is a 6.5 BCG and some ammo to convert your AR-15 into the most desirable 6.5 Grendel. Works best with standard 5.56 magazines. California and NY compliant. 

AR-15 6.5 Grendel 24" competition upper assembly includes:

Barrel - 24" black nitride 4150 CMV heavy barrel. Hardened to 26-32 rc and stress relieved. Chambered in 6.5 Grendel Type II. 1-8 rh twist. Button rifled. .750 under gas block. Spiral Fluted. M4 feedramps. Barrel is finished off with triport muzzle brake in nitride. 5/8x24 thread.

A3 flat top upper receiver - made from certified 7075-T6 aluminum forgings. Black hardcoat anodized to gov. specs. Forward assist and dust cover installed. M4 feedramps.

Gas system - .750 low profile gas block made from steel for most durability and performance. Rifle length gas tube.

Handguards - 15" free floating rifle length slim profile Mlok rail. Made from aircraft quality aluminum and black hardcoat anodized.
