The AR-40 8" Slick Side Pistol Upper in .40 S&W is designed for those looking to build a compact AR pistol on a Glock-style lower receiver. This upper assembly is built on a slick side billet receiver without Last Round Bolt Hold Open (LRBHO), making it a simple and reliable option for your next build.

Key Features:

• Barrel: The 8" .40 S&W Match Grade AR barrel is constructed from 416R stainless steel for maximum strength and accuracy. It features a 1:16 twist rate and 5/8x24 muzzle threads, ideal for adding a slim flash can compensator to reduce muzzle flash and recoil. 5/8x24 TPI.

• Upper Receiver: This slick side billet upper is made from 7075-T6 aircraft billet aluminum, providing a durable, lightweight, and highly resilient design. The receiver is black hardcoat anodized per MIL-8625 Type 3 Class 2, offering long-lasting corrosion resistance and wear protection.

• Gas System: The blowback gas system is engineered for pistol-caliber rounds, with no need for feed ramps. This system makes it an excellent choice for reliable function in .40 S&W.

• Handguard: The 10" free-floating slim M-LOK rail is made from aircraft-quality aluminum and finished with a black hardcoat anodized treatment, ensuring durability and a secure fit for your accessories.

• Charging Handle: An AR-15 MILSPEC charging handle is included for smooth operation, while the upper does not include a bolt carrier group (BCG), allowing you to customize the build further based on your preferences.
