What lower receiver is compatible with a .308 AR-10 upper?

A .308 AR-10 upper requires a compatible large-frame lower receiver. Moriarti .308 upper assemblies are primarily designed for Moriarti Lowers and compatible DPMS/LR-308-pattern lower receivers. Because large-frame AR platforms are not universally standardized, fit can vary between manufacturers and receiver patterns. Always verify the upper and lower pattern, takedown and pivot-pin alignment, and manufacturer specifications before pairing components.

How to choose a .308 AR-10 upper

Barrel length

• 7.5"–13.5" pistol uppers: compact AR-10 pistols and suppressor hosts, usually with a shroud, flash can, diverter or brake. See all .308 pistol uppers.
• 14.5"–16" carbine uppers: handy general-purpose and hunting builds with mid-length gas.
• 18"–24" uppers: SPR, precision and long-range builds with rifle-length gas, including stainless fluted and bull barrels.

Barrel material and finish

416 and 416R stainless barrels are chosen for accuracy and corrosion resistance; 4150 CMV and 41V50 chrome moly barrels with nitride, QPQ or Parkerized finishes are tough and cost less. Spiral, straight and diamond fluting cuts weight on heavy contours.

Lower receiver pattern and what is included

Most Moriarti .308 uppers are DPMS low-profile pattern; the Aero Precision M5 style uppers fit DPMS high-profile (.210 tang) lowers. Most uppers ship without a BCG and charging handle, while a few complete uppers include both; check each product page.
