The AR-40 4" Side Charging LRBHO Pistol Cal Complete Upper Assembly in .40 S&W is designed for ultimate reliability and performance. Built on a non-reciprocating side charging billet upper receiver, this upper features an integrated LRBHO (Last Round Bolt Hold Open) for enhanced user functionality, ensuring the bolt locks back after firing the last round for easy reloading. Crafted from 6061 billet aluminum and finished with a matte black hard-coat anodizing (per MIL 8625 Type 3 Class 2), this upper assembly offers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. With a blowback gas system, this upper is optimized for .40 S&W ammunition and provides smooth cycling, eliminating the need for a traditional gas tube.

Key Features:

• Barrel: The 4" .40 S&W match-grade barrel is made from 4150 chrome moly steel with a black nitride finish, featuring a 1:16 twist rate for enhanced accuracy. The barrel is threaded with 5/8x24 muzzle brake threads and is finished off with an A2 flash hider to reduce muzzle flash and improve control.

• Side Charging Upper Receiver: This side charging billet upper receiver is machined from 6061 billet aluminum and features an integrated LRBHO for easy reloading and increased user convenience. The receiver includes an adjustable tension slide lock for secure charging handle movement and a rear dust cover trap door that seals shut when mated with the lower, keeping dirt and debris out.

• Gas System: The upper uses a blowback gas system, making it perfect for pistol calibers like .40 S&W. This blowback system simplifies operation, ensuring smooth cycling with minimal recoil.
