What barrel length is best for an AR-15?

The ideal AR-15 barrel length depends on your intended use. 10.5" to 12.5" barrels are popular for compact pistol builds, 14.5" to 16" barrels offer an excellent balance of maneuverability and velocity for general-purpose rifles, while 18" to 24" barrels are often preferred for precision shooting and hunting. The best choice depends on your caliber, application, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
