The AR-15 5.56/.223 16" Stainless Steel Straight Fluted Tactical Upper from Moriarti Arms delivers uncompromised performance with a clean, aggressive design. Built to exacting standards using premium materials, this upper is perfect for shooters who demand durability and accuracy in a modern tactical build.

At its core is a 16" 416R stainless steel HBAR barrel, straight fluted for enhanced rigidity, cooling, and aesthetic appeal. The barrel is stress relieved, hardened to 26-32 RC, and features a 1:8 right-hand twist—ideal for stabilizing a broad range of 55- to 69-grain projectiles. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, it also safely fires .223 Remington. M4 feedramps are milled into the barrel extension for smooth and reliable cycling.

The muzzle is threaded 1/2x28 and finished with a recoil-reducing muzzle brake and crush washer, making it range-ready out of the box.

The A3 upper receiver is crafted from 7075-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum, then black hardcoat anodized to government specifications for maximum corrosion resistance. It comes complete with forward assist, dust cover, and M4 feedramps.

The 12" free-floating MLOK handguard gives you the modularity to mount modern accessories while maintaining a clean profile. Manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum, it’s built to withstand abuse without adding unnecessary weight.

The upper runs a carbine-length gas system with a .750 low-profile steel gas block, offering smooth cycling and long-term durability.

Bolt carrier group and charging handle not included — available separately.
All Moriarti uppers are assembled in the USA with hand-matched components and test-fired for quality assurance.

I bought this, and selected Keymod hand guard, but got the MLok instead. No big deal, I just had to adjust the accessories to the "T" nuts for MLok. It came cleaned and oiled, which is a rarity. I checked the gas tube, and the gas tube was even clean and clear of debris. Very impressed. Solid, well built, and looks great. Haven't been to the range yet but under initial scrutiny, this upper passes with flying colors. Smooth operation of the charging handle, and BCG, so no issues. Very good build.

Ordered this with a Keymod handguard, but got the MLok instead. No big deal really. Very well made upper, and solid. Very pleased.

I totally understand the insane demand for parts these days has everyone scrambling to fulfill orders as best as possible. I ordered this with a Keymod handguard, but received it with an MLok handguard. No big deal. Anyway, this is a very good upper, and is built very well. No complaints whatsoever. Very happy with the end result.
