Built around a durable 4150 CMV barrel with a parkerized finish and HBAR contour, this upper is a great solution for shooters in CA and NY or for anyone seeking a clean, upgraded look with functional muzzle control.

Built to deliver consistent performance and excellent heat management with its 15” free float handguard, this upper also features a carbine-length gas system and a .750 low-profile steel gas block. The A3 flat-top upper is precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, hardcoat anodized for durability.

Note: BCG and charging handle are not included but can be added separately.

FAQ

What do I need to run a 7.62x39 upper?

A standard mil-spec AR-15 lower, a 7.62x39 bolt carrier group with the larger 7.62x39 bolt face, and AR-15 pattern 7.62x39 magazines. A standard 5.56 bolt and magazines will not work.

Why might I get light primer strikes?

Many 7.62x39 loads use hard military-style primers. A heavier hammer spring or an enhanced firing pin usually solves it; see our guide linked below.

What does the shroud do?

It slips over the muzzle device and pushes blast forward, away from the shooter.
