What lower receiver setup is recommended for a .458 SOCOM AR-15 pistol?

A .458 SOCOM AR-15 pistol uses an AR-15-style lower receiver, but the lower should be properly configured for the larger-bore platform. Moriarti recommends a 4.3 oz buffer for its .458 SOCOM configurations to support reliable cycling with the intended setup. Because performance can vary with ammunition, barrel length, gas system, and individual components, always confirm that the complete lower, buffer system, magazine, and upper are compatible with the specific .458 SOCOM firearm.
