Does a 7.62x39 AR upper use a standard 5.56 AR-15 bolt?

No. A 7.62x39 AR upper requires a 7.62x39-compatible bolt because the cartridge has a different case-head diameter than 5.56 NATO. Reliable configurations should also use magazines specifically designed to feed 7.62x39 ammunition in an AR-platform lower.
